Recruits to watch

Considering the needs and recruits who are still available these are the players I will be watching closely . There are still a lot of uncommitted players and still offers going out so it remains fluid . There will probably be some surprises and some signings nobody would have predicted but this is the list of possibilities in my opinion.

If the Tigers do decide to add another running back the recruit that might make the most sense is local standout Ali Wells . I talked to him earlier this year ( see interview below ) and he can play running back, slot receiver, or defensive back .

There's a good chance of a receiver being added but I'm not going to discuss Luther Burden or Kevin Coleman . One is verbally committed and the other did not have us in their final 12 . If things change that's great but let's look at some other possibilities . Two tall lanky receivers flying under the radar that have been offered are Jalil Martin and Ma'Leeyon Winfield . There are also a lot of good uncommitted players so the staff could still extend offers to. The Tigers are in a position where they can wait and shop the transfer portal later if they choose .

I would think adding two more offensive lineman would be advantageous going forward . Mizzou recently offered both Valen Erickson and Jake Maikkula and seem to be very much in play on both . Another recruit just offered you might want to keep an eye on is Jackson Pruitt .

Looking at the defense, corners to watch would be Quantaves Gaskins and Rodney Johnson . Five star Gentry Williams is probably a long shot but Missouri is in his top 6 .

As far as safety Kaleb Purdy remains available and the Tigers recently offered Jeffrey Ugo though he is verbally committed to Utah .

As of yet Mizzou does not have a linebacker commitment for 2022 . There's always a chance Devon Jackson changes his mind and follows Deshawn Woods to Missouri or Jordan Crook who decommitted from Oklahoma State end up here . Crook is expected to join Arkansas but they just added Mani Powell so we'll wait to see if that has any effect on his decision . Otherwise we're looking at Duncan Parham II, Matthew Reddick, and Taylor Love who is probably the most polished of the three .

The Tigers have two defensive lineman and will surely want to add more . While we made 5 star Omari Abor's top 10 and we have pursued local 4 star DJ Wesolak it would be a surprise to get either. Even so this is the position with the most recruits still on the table . One of my favorite players ( see interview below ) Jadon Scarlett will decide soon and Missouri is one of three finalists . The Tigers are also in the final teams pursuing Deone Walker a giant defensive lineman from Michigan . Don't forget about local product Domonique Orange and they have extended offers to RJ Moss, Quentel Jones, and Tai Leonard . 4 star Chris

( Sorry I forgot to mention newly offered Isaiah Hastings )

McClellan came to Columbia in early June but it appears he is leaning in another direction .

Like I said at the beginning things can change but at the moment these are the recruits to keep an eye on . I know there are not a lot of 4 and 5 star recruits in here but don't get hung up on rankings . Missouri will have one of their better if not best recruiting class rankings of all time . The players listed are all very good prospects in their own right , and it will be interesting to see how the final months of the 2022 recruiting class play out .

Note > I said it's fluid and Mizzou just offered two athletes out of Georgia , DL Joshua White and LB/DL Carlton Madden Jr.

After the new NIL took effect and then the movement towards super conferences or one super league I no longer feel like doing this anymore. I've also been disappointed in our fans attitude towards our
